Peak Performance for Athletes, Creatives, and CEOs

Every day you dread that you won’t perform how you once did ever again.

You hold out hope that today might be the day that everything will go back to how it was when you were at your best, but this slump feels endless.

You’re mentally and physically exhausted from trying to fix this dip you’ve been in. You want to give up, but this thing is your dream, and there’s no room for failure.

This pressure is both driving and daunting but has been erring toward the latter as of late.

The demand takes a toll.

As a high-level athlete, writer, artist, performer, or business professional, you demand a level of skill and functioning from yourself far beyond that of the everyday person. But maybe you’ve experienced a setback in your performance or have even lost the ability to do certain movements for no apparent medical reason that used to come second nature to you.

Your body not functioning the way you need it to has affected your self-esteem negatively, and you feel you’re not good enough and a failure. Even more, maybe you have other people counting on you, like teammates, coaches, or family, and that is only compounding the pressure and guilt about letting others down.

We will use a combination of modalities and techniques.

For example, EMDR will be used to process incidents related to hiccups related to performance by leading your brain back to an initial incident in which it occurred, a negative belief associated with the hiccup, or a feeling or experience that may even appear unrelated first to why this is happening. For example, a specific movement in your body may trigger an earlier memory associated with a negative incident.

HeartMath is a technique used to get your heart into a specific muscle state using Heart Rate Variability. You will learn how to get into a state of coherence – when your heart enhances positive thoughts and behaviors. I will guide you through heart-focused breathing to help get you into coherence, and you will also be able to get instant feedback about your heart rate through a pulse tracking device and an app. Once learned, this technique could be used anytime, anywhere.

Additional benefits include an increased understanding of your nervous system and insight into what may contribute to potential slumps in the future, more resiliency during performances, and tools to support you through performances and downtime.

You may have tried many other interventions…

… and think your case is hopeless or feel ashamed of your situation. I’m here to help you address this painful issue from a different perspective, including the past, present, and future experiences and resources.
